Placement Profile: Chloe Tuck

We had the lovely Cracker Category winner, Chloe Tuck in for a split 2 week placement. Chloe had to fit her placement around her second year at Uni, 1 week in January & then a return in April. Its been great having Chloe in the studio and we wish her well for the rest of her course.

The Brief page is now live. There will be a few alterations to the way it looks as I'm not quite happy with the layout yet, but thought you might like to get a glance at what this years Gifted? Competition is all about. Just hit the link in the menu above. However, you will not be able to enter until the launch date, though you may be able to start thinking about how you might tackle the brief this time round. Have fun.

For those of you who may not know, the Tigerprint Gifted? Competition has been running in colaboration with New Designers since 2009. We have had hundreds of entries to the competition since it's launch, from the original bag design brief, to the 'Gift of Christmas' of last year. We are very excited to introduce this years very open 'A Design A Day' competition, launching next month.

We have put together a Gifted? archive page to hightlight previous winners and their entries, show you the original briefs, and showcase the Gifted? stand and our judges at the New Designers Exhibition in London. We hope you enjoy looking back throught the last three years, that it may be of some inspiration to you, and hopefully excite you enough to get you to join in on this years Gifted?.

The 2012 Gifted? Competition will be going live in the several days. We are updating the website as we speak, so keep an eye out for it. We'll let you all know as soon as its ready. Placement Profile: EMMA SLIGHTS

Emma won the Card category of the Gifted Competiton and completed her 2 week placement in the Tigerprint Studio (as part of the prize). Here is her feedback above. It was great working with Emma and we are really pleased that she enjoyed her time here.

Creative Review: Placement Survey

The Gifted & Tigerprint team took part in the Creative Review Placement Survey a few weeks ago. It's really interesting to see how other companies work with placements, students & graduates. We think we offer placement's a great experience and would like to thank all of our placements for their hard work whilst they've been with us. We've currently got 2 of the Gifted? Competition winners in this week so will be great to see their feedback at the end.

Well done to everyone who entered the Gifted? Competition. We had some great entries & a brilliant time running the competition. We look forward to working with the winners on the Christmas 2012 ranges.

Unfortunately we can't show any images of the winning entries just yet but watch this space for updates of the range later next year. We'll be back soon with news of the next challenge.

Gifted? 2011 Decoration Category Winner

Last but not least, the Winner & Runner up of the Decoration Category is Rachael Whitehead. The judges loved both of Rachael's concepts, which are both very different styles. Again well done to all the other entries.

The winner of the Cracker Category is Chloe Tuck. A huge well done to Chloe and all the other entrants - this seemed to be a more challenging Category and the response has been seen some interesting materials, processes and finishes. Find out who has won the final Category shortly!
